Celebrate Today

I am loving this stamp set! So glad I chose it for this week's 5 cards 1 stamp set.
Celebrate Today is a 17 photopolymer stamp set and is available on it's own, or in a bundle with matching framelits.

I was trying to make a masculine birthday card, but not sure if I succeeded with the bow and floral DSP!

The starting point for this card was 2 challenges, last week's Sketch Frenzy Friday's sketch and Fab Friday's colour challenge. I've just realised I missed the Mossy Meadow!

The ribbon I used is Blackberry Bliss Stitched Satin Ribbon, which is now retired, but this type of ribbon is still available in 5 other colours, including Whisper White.

In other news...

The conversion of the conservatory from junk room to craft room began yesterday! The builder (aka my Uncle Will) is in, and I took this sneaky shot yesterday morning of him starting to take the old leaky roof apart.

Anyone who has crafted with me in the conservatory (it's been a couple of years) may remember being dripped on one rainy Thursday night! Soon that will be a thing of the past and we can craft in comfort.

Here's the result of yesterday's work. Half of the old roof has been removed and replaced, along with some new support beams, which also means I can get some over head lighting fitted :).

I must remember to pop down regularly to keep him fuelled with tea or coffee! We also need to sort the utility room out for some of the stuff from the conservatory to be moved in there and do a tip/recycling/charity shop run with the things we don't need to keep.

I can't wait for the roof to be finished as it'll mean we can start kitting the room out. New carpet is first on the list, we've found a nice hard wearing one reasonably priced. Then it's a trip to Ikea for a car full of Kallax shelving. Lastly, the search for 77cm x 208cm work tops, to make my desks!

I promise to keep you updated, and post regular pictures of the progress... whether you want me to or not!
