It's Friday! Which can mean only 1 thing, wine! Oh no sorry, I mean "Back To Basics". Today is all about 2-Step stamping, where you have stamps that you stamp on top of each other to create dimension, various coloured sections or a scene.
With Stampin' Up! all 2-Step stamping sets come in photopolymer only, this is so you can see through them to place them right 1st time. Older sets, from before the advent of photopolymer, can still be layered up, but you'll need a Stamp-a-ma-Jig, to position your stamps.
So, this image above shows the steps to make the stamped poinsettia from Reason for the Season. It's 3 steps, rather than the 2-Step stamping, but the technique is the same.
2-Step stampng sets which are designed to line up exactly over each other have a little arrow of photopolymer. Can you see it at the top of each step above? This makes lining up easy.
I'm going away with my sisters for the weekend today and didn't have time to do my own tutorial video on this. But here's one from Stampin' Up! using one of my favourite stamp and die sets....
I love the project made in this video, I really must give it a go.
Here's the card I made using my poinsettia. I love these new papers. The sentiment was cut using the Label Bracket punch.
Right! Off to pack, then nip to the post office with some orders from my last demonstration day!
Have a great weekend everyone!
